Prior to her work with the Steubenville Police Department, she was a Head Start teacher where she came into direct contact with children and families in need, as well as with the Upward Bound program where she worked with first generation college students. She has spent many years volunteering for various local organizations and charities focused on the betterment of the community at large.
Jacky has spearheaded many efforts to reach, and provide for many marginalized citizens in her community, including the youth and homeless population. She has yearly drives where she collects and distributes school supplies to local children and shares her excess with non-profit organizations. She has also, for many years, made and distributed blessing bags to local homeless individuals. Every year at Christmas, she works tirelessly to collect gifts for children so that they can enjoy the excitement of the holiday. Her efforts in the Steubenville community made it possible to partner with The 411 Foundation on many occasions. This continued growth and partnership lead to her appointment to the Board of Directors in 2021.
